ASU Prep Classes on Writing
I attended ASU Prep classes and seminars in creative writing. I gained new insights on writing and practiced other genres.
Writing contests
My short story Reia and the Stars was selected to be in the StoryCon Teen Anthology in 2026. Additionally, my debut novel Game of Knaves won an Honorable Mention at StoryCon 2026 for the Teen First Chapter Contest. Previously, I won first place in a Spanish writing contest, Cuentistas. I also received a scholarship for a creative writing class held at Balliol, Oxford University. I was proud to receive an Impact Award and the Empowering Leadership Award from Imprints of Honor.
My languages
I love learning languages. I have the B2 level in Spanish and French, and I am sitting for the German B2 proficiency test this year.
StoryCon
StoryCon is a national book festival and writing conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, dedicated to celebrating storytelling for all ages. It is a great opportunity for networking and learning from other successful authors.
I had a wonderful weekend spent at the Storycon event. Afterwards, I felt so inspired to be amongst other writers and authors. Overall, it was an amazing experience to reenergize my creative passion.

Imprints of Honor
Imprints of Honor is a program in which high school students interview veterans and then write their story in a book compilation. This experience was truly amazing for not only me, but also for the veterans interviewed.
Creative writing at Oxford
I completed a creative writing course through Immerse Education at Balliol College, Oxford University. My tutor completed her Ph.D at Cambridge University and I was able to learn more about character development, sources for inspiration, and a myriad forms of writing. I also gained valuable insight into the world of publishing. Along with the knowledge I acquired, it was inspiring to meet new friends from all over the world.
